Scholarship & Research
Tournament
Mission Statement:
Organize and generate
the financial means to
enrich the
game of golf
through funding regionally based research and
scholarships to
qualified applicants
HAGCSA coordinates and operates
an annual Scholarship & Research Golf Tournament;
which is the primary source by which we fund local research and scholarship
money for
local turf students and our member employees. We are also dedicated to
promoting the
game of golf by funding The Environmental Institute for Golf and The
Greater
Kansas
City First Tee Program.

First Tee Program:
Twenty children have been sponsored (four at each First Tee
location in the Kansas City area) in the
amount of $2,400.
This program is a junior golf program that also
encompasses a Life
Skills curriculum. To learn more about the

The golf professionals ball will be played as part of the team and not
counted separately.
Only one professional per team. You are not required to have a golf
professional on your team.
Please include all names on the entry form, as it allows pre-printed score
cards and cart assignments to be made.
Cost: $150 per player or $750 per team.
Field is limited to 30 teams. Singles will be placed by the S&R
Committee.
Dress Code:
Country Club Attire (Collared Shirts, No Jeans or Cargo Pants).
Please clean your soft spikes.
